Mascalucia (Catania)- On 23 June, on an initiative of the Delegation for Sicily of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy, together with the National Institute for the Honour Guard of the Royal Tombs of the Pantheon, a dinner honouring T.R.H. the Prince of Piedmont and Venice on his birthday.
The event took place at the lovely Consoli-Floreno residence in Mascalucia, and representatives from the Consulate and the Catania Service Clubs were present. The decorated and the Honour Guards from the provinces of Catania, Enna, Messina, Ragusa and Syracuse numbered over 100, and they all gathered at the venue to enjoy a very pleasant and cordial atmosphere.
During the banquet, which was attended also by several Delegates and Vicars of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy, an affectionate tribute was made to H.R.H. and to H.E. the Gran Chancellor, contacted by phone.
In the reception hall, Mr. Franco Di Guardo had arranged the exhibition of a work of art, done with ink and watercolour, made by the Palermitan artist Giorgio D’Amato, of the coat-of-arms of the Prince of Piedmont, inserted into the interiors of a Sicilian Baroque styled building. Guests were able to admire the now historical menu of the gala dinner held at Losanna in 1990 for the Prince’s 18th birthday and sign a birthday card to give to him.
Thanks to the generosity of a knight who wishes to remain anonymous, it was possible to collect a donation to the Onlus L’albero della vita, which confirms the constant commitment of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy and all its members in helping with social issues.
