A solemn Eucharistic celebration was held at the Abbey of Santo Stefano in Genoa followed by a charity party for the inauguration of the Genoa Vicariate of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy.
On the liturgical solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord, the newly founded Liguria Delegation was inaugurated with a donation in support of the “Beata Maria Cristina di Savoia” Outpatient Clinic in Genoa, established by the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy in collaboration with the Rivarolese Pink Cross.
In the presence of the ad interim Delegate Cav. Gr. Cr. Nob. Dott. Carlo Buffa of the Counts of Perrero, of the Vicar Cav. Uff. Dr. Valerio Ruggiero and of the Delegation Councilor Cav. Uff. The Jubilus choir of Genoa, conducted by Maestro Enrico Sobrero, accompanied the service performing the “Missa Pontificalis II” composed by Lorenzo Perosi.
At the end of the Holy Mass, a moved Vicar Ruggiero thanked the Grand Master and the Grand Chancellor for the honour of leading the new Vicariate, as well as the Delegate for his support and the Council of the Delegation for their welcome. After the official greeting of the Delegate, a letter signed by His Eminence Rev. Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco, Archbishop of Genoa, was read and so was a Message from the Grand Master, H.R.H. Prince Vittorio Emanuele.
After the Knight’s prayer and the prayer for the Grand Master, a reception was held at the Unified Army Circle, the proceeds of which were donated to the “Beata Maria Cristina di Savoia” Outpatient Clinic. At the beginning of the dinner, the President of the Rivarolese Pink Cross, Dr. Riccardo Repetto, thanked Vicar Ruggiero, those present and the Dynastic Orders for what they have done so far. Afterwards, a precious painting depicting the Blessed was donated by the “Colloqui Letterari Maria Cristina di Savoia” association to the Rivarolese Pink Cross.
