CERVO (IMPERIA) – The concert organised in collaboration with the Ligurian Delegation of the Dynastic Orders and the Confraternities of St. Catherine and St. Brigid took place in the splendid setting of the 13th-century oratory dedicated to St. Catherine, with the goal of raising funds to donate a defibrillator to the local civil protection agency.
More than 150 people attended the musical event, with the noble purpose of offering a key healthcare service to the citizens of Cervo Ligure.
At the beginning of the concert the Vicar, Dr. Off. Valerio Ruggiero, briefly illustrated the activities of the Dynastic Orders, thanking the group of the Knights of Imperia and Albenga for their commitment to this initiative, the mayor of Cervo, who was present in the church, the priors of the two brotherhoods. During the intermission, the President of ADMO-AIDO illustrated the activities of the associations. The Vicar then dedicated a warm round of applause to recently deceased maestro Franco Zeffirelli. He concluded by recalling that these events are important both for their charitable purpose and because they mark a new enthusiastic start of the activities of the Ligurian Delegation, whose great potential must be encouraged and supported. He also brought the greetings of H.R.H. Prince Emanuele Filiberto.
The Concert was performed by the Compagnia Corale di Imperia conducted by Vittoria Bessone, who sung pieces of ancient, modern and contemporary classical polyphonic music.
A total of 1020 euros were collected in the event, allowing the Delegation to donate a defibrillator to the village of Cervo.
