LOS ANGELES – The American Delegation, through its charity branch the American Foundation of the Order of the House of Savoy, has always contributed energetically to humanitarian, hospitable and charity projects and actions all over North America and abroad. In particular, to health and hospital assistance, disaster relief, educational programs and causes for children.
In the elegant Montage Beverly Hills cornice, in the magical Southern California atmosphere, on Saturday 28 April a “Savoy Night” gala dinner was organised to collect funds for the Stuart House medical centre. This gala evening had HRH Prince Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy as its guest of honour. Many dames, knights and guests of the Orders took part in this first event organised on the west coast of the United States, including the actor Paul Sorvino, the Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis and her husband Brian Perri, the councillor of Los Angeles Joe Buscaino, the philanthropic chef Bruno Serato and Gail Abarbanel, executive director of Stuart House.
Gail Abarbanel, executive director of Stuart House commented: “We are truly delighted to have been selected as the institution benefiting from this event. Funds collected will have an enormous impact for Stuart House and will enable us to sustain more children and families who have suffered sexual abuse and exploitation « .
Prince Emanuele Filiberto is always sensitive to philanthropic and charity works and is happy and proud of the strong social commitment of the American Delegation of the Dynastic Orders of the House of Savoy. He declared, “Being able to contribute to the incredible work that the Stuart House does every day in assisting the children of Los Angeles makes our first Savoy Night even more gratifying and with a strong impact.”
The dinner took place in a highly convivial manner for all guests who were delighted and entertained by an ensemble of string quartets, a solo by Acapella and, then astonished by the mentalist Kevin Viner. An exceptional evening made unmissable by the importance of the charity commitment for which it was organised.
