The growing Delegation of Malta of the Military and Religious Order of St Maurice and St Lazarus of the Royal House of Savoy has recently held its second function in a quaint village in Gozo, Malta’s sister island.
The occasion consisted of a Mass and a charity dinner to support Peter Pan’s projects in the village of Munxar.
Holy Mass was celebrated at the parish church of this picturesque village by the Delegation’s Prior, His Excellency Monsignor Dr Joseph Vella Gauci. In his homily, the Prior stressed the importance that each member of this Order leads an exemplary life and that we, as a Delegation, strive to be of active service to others in society, especially the most vulnerable.

Holy Mass was followed by dinner at a nearby restaurant in the same location. This activity was an opportunity for the Delegate, Uff. S.E. the Amb Prof George Said-Zammit, to update existing and prospective Members about the recently held Chapter General in Geneva and about the Delegation’s plans for next year. The Delegate encouraged those present to make their utmost to attend next year’s Chapter General and to participate in the activities organized by the local Delegation.
Avanti Savoia!
