Noto, 20th October 2019 – A delegation of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy took part in the solemn eucharistic concelebration presided by H.E. Mgr. Emil Paul Tscherring, Apostolic Nuncio in Italy, for the auspicious 35th anniversary of the priestly ordination of H.E. Mgr. Antonio Staglianò, Bishop of Noto, Prior for Sicily of the Knightly Forces of the House of Savoy, Grand Officer of the Order of Saint Maurice and Lazarus, in the Cathedral of San Nicolò in Noto, Sicily, which was declared a “national monument” by H.M. the King Vittorio Emanuele III.
Many members of the Dynastic Orders took part in the celebration, among them the Vicar for Syracuse, Comm. Avv. Giorgio Nicastro del Lago.
Among the concelebrants there were the Rev. Cav. Uff. Mgr. Angelo Giurdanella, Vicar General of the Diocese of Noto, Cav. Uff. Mgr. Giuseppe Greco, Director of the Alagoniana Library in Syracuse, Cav. Antonio Forgione of the Chancellery of the Episcopal Curia of Noto, and Rosario Lo Bello, parish priest of San Paolo Apostolo in Syracuse.
The Vicar for Syracuse, also on behalf of the Delegate for Sicily Gr. Uff. Avv. Francesco Maria Atanasio, after having attended the Holy Mass, accompanied by the Cathedral Choir “Lorenzo Perosi”, formulated to the illustrious prelate the most respectful good wishes for ad multos annos.
During the ceremony the seminarians Daniele Nocca and Marco Rabito were admitted to the Holy Orders, and the Delegation of the Dynastic Orders of the House of Savoy for Sicily gifted them with liturgical cottas.
