THE EUCHARISTIC CELEBRATION ON 29 MAY MARKS THE RESUMPTION OF INITIATIVES IN PERSON
ALBENGA – On 29 May 2021, in the Church of San Giorgio Martire in Albenga, a Holy Mass on the eve of the Feast of the Holy Trinity was celebrated for the Delegation of Liguria of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy. The Holy Ceremony was presided over by the Most Reverend Mgr. Ennio Bezzone, Chaplain for the Vicariate of Imperia – Albenga. The Uff. Rev. Simone Ghersi and the Cav. Rev. Luca Lanave assisted Mrg. Bezzone in the service.
The new Gr. Uff. OMS Dr. Valerio Ruggiero, Delegate for Liguria, Uff. Stefano Pietrafraccia, Councillor of the Delegation, Cav. Col. Giuseppe Criscuolo, Deputy for Imperia, many Guards of Honour to the Royal Tombs of the Pantheon, several members of the Delegation and various supporters attended the service.
At the end of the service, the Delegate expressed his satisfaction at the resumption of activities after the pandemic, recalling that the Vicariate of Imperia-Albenga, thanks to the personal commitment of Deputy Criscuolo, has never suspended its charitable activities, always delivering basic necessities to people in need, even during the toughest lockdown. A message of greeting from the Prior of Liguria, H.R.E. Mgr. Alberto Maria Careggio, who was absent due to urgent engagements, and a message of greeting from H.R.H. Prince Vittorio Emanuele, Grand Master of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy, were then read out.
After the Holy Mass, the diplomas that had been awarded in Geneva during the year 2020 and had not yet been handed out due to the pandemic and the consequent suspension of the General Chapter were handed out. The event then continued with a charity cocktail reception, the proceeds of which were donated to needy families of the parish of San Giorgio di Albenga.
