Geneva, Saturday 29 February 2020, The Delegation for Switzerland of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy met at the Bodmer Foundation in Geneva to visit an exhibition titled “War and Peace”.

The event, conceived by Pierre Hazan and by Jacques Berchtold, the director of the Foundation, offers a journey between documents and testimonies from the nineteenth and twentieth century and serves to raise awareness at a time when anti-Semitism is on the rise, also in Germany. The exhibition is part of the commemorations for the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the League of Nations, a programme titled “100 Years of Multilateralism” and promoted with the support of the United Nations.

The visit should have been followed by a prayer at St. Pierre Cathedral, where a Catholic Mass was to be celebrated for the first time in 400 years.

The cancellation of the Eucharistic celebration due to the Covid-19 health alert did not frighten the Dames and Knights of the Delegation, who spent a pleasant afternoon together drinking tea and conversing after the cultural event.
