A SCULPTURE OF THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS IS DONATED BY THE DYNASTIC ORDERS OF THE HOUSE OF SAVOY TO A CHURCH IN VALLE D’AOSTA

During the Holy Mass on Christmas eve, a sculpture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus by Salvatore Cazzato was unveiled at the parish church of Saint Martin de Corléans in Aosta.

The artwork in wood and pure gold was placed above the tabernacle on the church’s Baroque altar, which did not yet have a sacred image corresponding to the church’s dedication to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

It was donated by the Delegation of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy for the Valle D’Aosta led by Comm. Giovanni Girardini thanks to a contribution by Mrs. Piera Bertone, the wife of the late donor of the large steel cross placed at the entrance of the church.

Seven members of the Delegation attended the ceremony representing all the Dames and Knights who were celebrating Christmas with their families.

The Holy Mass was celebrated by the Parish priest, Rev. Don Nicola Corigliano.
