GENEVA – The secular story of love and charity of the Kings and Queens of Italy has been chosen, this year, to be displayed and narrated in the 2018 issue of the Orders calendar.
The publication contains images, paintings and photographs of the Sovereigns of Italy and various anecdotes that celebrate the history of the House of Savoy seen through those gestures of attention towards the neediest who have marked the epic. A river of solidarity that continues to renew itself today, thanks to the impulse of H.R.H. Prince Vittorio Emanuele, Grand Master of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy.
From the flood of the Tiber of 1870 to the earthquake of Casamicciola, from the disastrous cataclysm of Messina in 1908 to the Ospedale da Campo n.1 – Quirinale della Grande Guerra: images and events will guide you in discovering extraordinary and real stories, from H.M. the King Vittorio Emanuele II until today.
The collection of these stories is intended to be an exhortation and an example to support another charitable project which is the spokesperson for the Grand Chancellery. This year, in fact, in addition to the copy that will be awarded to all the holders in order with the payment of the annual AICODS fees, the Grand Chancellery has printed 200 copies of the calendar can also be purchased individually by contacting the Geneva offices at the symbolic cost of € 18.00 + shipping fee. The proceeds from this sale will be entirely donated to finance the renewal of the rent of a room for a year at the “Peter Pan” non-profit organization in Rome which hosts families of children in care at the oncological department of the adjacent Bambin Gesù hospital.
Best wishes for a happy Holy Christmas.
