Prince Vittorio and Princess Marina of Savoy, H.E. the Grand Chancellor, Johannes Theo Niederhauser were also present at the event at the Café de Paris.
The evening was inaugurated with a speech by Countess Mathilda Nostitz during which she welcomed all the participants and thanked the Dynastic Orders for their constant attention to the neediest, for their commitment and for the donation made to the Foundation. More than 6000 euros were collected thanks to the generosity of the people who took part in the meeting.
To illustrate the significant work of the Mathilda Foundation, guide dogs specifically trained to assist blind people were present in the hall, to make the great work that they constantly perform really tangible.
The Mathilda Foundation supports people with severely impaired vision, focusing on projects that help in the education of the blind and visually impaired and contributing significantly to their social integration, including at the professional level. It also focuses on the training of guide dogs, which then become indispensable helpers for many visually impaired people. Finally, the Foundation organises various cultural events that allow young blind artists to achieve self-realisation.
