On Monday, 6 June 2022, on the initiative of the Savoy Delegation of the Dynastic Orders, more than 100 recipients and friends of the Savoy Knightly Forces gathered at the Gy farm in Haute-Savoie for a charity event.

The ceremony took place in the presence of numerous civil and religious authorities, including Mr Loïc Hervé, Senator of Haute-Savoie, Mr Michel Dantin, former Mayor of Chambéry, Rev. Fr. Didier Milani, present on behalf of H.E. the Bishop of Annecy, and Mr Jean-Christophe Palthey, Delegate for Switzerland of the Dhdynastic Orders. H.R.H. the Grand Master Prince Victor Emmanuel, unable to attend, commissioned the LL.EE. Johannes Theo Niederhauser and Nicolas Gagnebin, respectively Grand Chancellor and Grand Treasurer of the Dynastic Orders of the House of Savoy, to represent him on this occasion.

The participants were greeted by Count de Chevron Villette, owner of the premises, and Professor Bernard Demotz, Delegate for Savoy of the Dynastic Orders, with the honours of the Savoy Brigade.

The ceremony began with a focus on the charities supported by the Delegation for Savoy: the “Paul Idier” residence (EHPAD) in Veyrier-du-Lac represented by Ms Geneviève Babel, the works of the Annecy Diocese, represented by the Rev. Fr. Didier Milani, and the “Fondation du Bocage” (Chambéry), represented by its president, Michel Dantin.

The floor was then given to Mr Christian Regat, Knight of the Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus. The speaker captivated the audience with a lecture on “The Chevron Villette and the House of Savoy”, tracing the historical and family ties between this illustrious family and the Princes of the House of Savoy.

At the end of the conference, H.E. Johannes Theo Niederhauser presented on behalf of HRH Prince Victor Emmanuel the insignia of Knight of the Order of Merit of Savoy and Officer of the Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus to two members of the Delegation.

After a cocktail on a sunny terrace, a delicious lunch was served to conclude the pleasant day.
