SARDINIA, DECEMBER 2022 – JANUARY 2023
On 30 January 2023, the Sardinian Delegation of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy completed a charitable project in support of the Salesian Voluntary Organisation “Il Sogno” (The Dream), chaired by Don Gaetano Galia, Chaplain of the Sassari Prison.
The organisation was founded in 1998 when, at the behest of the Salesians of Sardinia, a residential project was launched for minors experiencing marginality, anti-social behaviour and at risk of social exclusion.
The proceeds of the collection, which amounted to €. 4,000.00, went to thirty minors entrusted by the Juvenile Courts to the “Il Sogno” charity organisation and were used to cover their basic needs.
The donation was especially appreciated, not least because it was made just before the Christmas holidays and therefore it also allowed the children to receive a small Christmas gift.
The Sardinian Delegation with its Delegate Avv. Cav. Massimiliano Manca di Mores, together with the Deputy for Cagliari Cav. Gr. Cr. Nob. Professor Enrico Sanjust dei Baroni di Teulada, President of the Heraldic Commission and Member of the Council of the Orders of the Royal House of Savoy, and the Deputy for Sassari Comm. Enrico De Murtas, are committed to promoting and carrying out a permanent project aimed at the neediest in their area.
