COVID 19 – THE LIGURIAN DELEGATION DELIVERS MEDICINES AND OTHER NECESSITIES TO NEEDY FAMILIES

Genoa / Imperia – 22 April 2020, the members of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy have made several donations in favour of a project for the free home delivery of medicines supported by the Delegation for Liguria and promoted by the Rivarolese Red Cross in Genoa. In the past the Savoy Knightly Forces contributed successfully to the opening of the “Beata Maria Cristina di Savoia” outpatient clinic following the tragedy of the collapse of the Morandi bridge in Genoa in 2018. The Delegate, Cav. Dr. Valerio Ruggiero, in a letter to the President of the association, Riccardo Repetto, on behalf of all Ligurian members, expressed his willingness to continue collaborating with this new initiative and said he was honoured to support a useful project for the population, especially for the elderly, at such a difficult time.

The Delegation for Liguria and in particular the Vicariate of Imperia, led by the Deputy, Cav. Col. Giuseppe Criscuolo, is also continuing to collect basic necessities for needy families of the parishes of the area around the town of Imperia. Their weekly deliveries are bringing small but effective support to a part of the population affected by growing social unease as a consequence of the lockdown, which has forced many workers to stop working. Until the end of the emergency it is still possible to support both projects by contacting the Delegation.
