ROME. H.R.H.Prince Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia, also as President of the Grand Magistral Council of the Royal House of Savoy and President of A.I.C.O.D.S., at the end of the ceremony organised by the National Institute for the Guard of Honour at the Royal Tombs of Pantheon for the 141st Anniversary of its foundation, in the late morning of Sunday 10 February 2019 visited children with cancer hosted by Peter Pan, a non-profit organisation that the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy have supported for the third consecutive year.
Collaboration with Peter Pan began in 2017, when the Dynastic Orders “adopted”one of the 32 rooms of the “Big Home”, which hosts free of charge families of children with cancer who are forced to move to Rome to undergo treatment.
H.R.H.Prince Emanuele Filiberto spent long time with the children, their fathers and mothers (about ten families were present at the meeting). The little guests of the home, who were very happy to have a Prince visiting them, asked H.R.H. several questions.

“The affection and loving attention with which the Prince spent time together with the hosted children was invaluable to all of them. It is also thanks to moments of this kind that our “warriors” can find the strength to fight the disease. Prince Emanuele Filiberto has shown deep sensibility in the meeting with our guests. We hope to meet him again to strengthen the bond of friendship that was created in our first meeting”, said Honorary President Maria Teresa Barracano Fasanelli this morning.
His Royal Highness was welcomed by Dr. Maria Teresa Barracano Fasanelli, Honorary President of Peter Pan, by the President of the Association Dr. Renato Fanelli and by Dr. Giovanna Leo, one of the founders of the non-profit organisation.
