IN MEMORY OF H.R.H. PRINCE VITTORIO EMANUELE, GRAND MASTER OF THE DYNASTIC ORDERS OF THE ROYAL HOUSE OF SAVOY.

Following the sad news of the death of H.R.H. Prince Vittorio Emanuele, Grand Master of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy, on 3 February, many Delegations around the world saw the Dames and Knights of the Savoy Knightly Forces gather in prayer to honour the August Deceased and give those who could not attend the funeral the opportunity to say their last farewell.

One month after His passing, a strictly private liturgical ceremony was organised by the Royal Family in Gstaad (Switzerland) on 2 March. In addition, numerous Delegations met for prayer during the month of February, in Naples on 12 and in Ottawa on 24.

The above memorial services are just some of the many that have taken place in recent weeks and for which we have received reports from the respective Delegates.

We fondly remember H.R.H. Prince Vittorio Emanuele of Savoy, Grand Master of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy, who left behind not only a great void, but also an extraordinary legacy of values, culture and philanthropy. He enlightened us all with his teaching and was always just, loyal and impartial in the exercise of His duties.

We are confident that H.R.H. Prince Emanuele Filiberto, XXVII Duke of Savoy, Prince of Venice, XXIX Grand Master of the Supreme Order of the Most Holy Annunciation, XVIII Grand Master of the Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus and VII Grand Master of the Civil Order of Savoy, will continue to pursue the objectives of the Dynastic Orders of His House with the same passion and dedication as His August Parent.

We assure Him of our unwavering loyalty and support.

As always, Avanti Savoia!
