Venice – From words to deeds. On July 10, 2020, at the Pescheria at Rialto, in the very heart of the city of Venice, grants to small craftsmen who were seriously damaged by the flood that struck the city in autumn 2019, and who had not received any compensation from the State, were officially delivered in the presence of the local authorities and media, as part of a project promoted by Confartigianato.
Half of the donated sum, amounting to approximately 40,000 Euros, was financed by the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy which, thanks to the impulse of H.R.H. the Prince Grand Master and H.R.H. Prince Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy, immediately took action to answer the appeal of the Venetians through a genuine fundraising initiative.
The generosity of the Royal House of Savoy and its Knightly Militias has been particularly appreciated by the Venetian craftsmen who, even during the conferring of checks ceremony, expressed their deep gratitude to the Royal Family and the Dynastic Orders.
A special satisfaction for the success of the project was also expressed by H.E. the Grand Chancellor of the Supreme Order of the Most Holy Annunciation, Johannes Theo Niederhauser.
