The project “Come l’acqua”, carried out by CBM Italia with the contribution of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy, continues. Thanks to it, 34 children suffering from Charge Syndrome are taking part in personalised learning courses.
CHARGE Syndrome is a rare genetic disease, recognised as one of the main causes of congenital deafblindness. Children with CHARGE Syndrome have great difficulty in performing simple everyday tasks (eating, walking, communicating…) but can achieve great things if supported by specific therapies.La Sindrome
The aim of the “Come l’acqua” project is to promote the social inclusion of children and young people with CHARGE syndrome and their families by offering them personalised therapeutic, educational and rehabilitation programmes.
IThe project started last July and lasts one year. The children are following customised paths designed according to their needs, with home-based activities provided by specialists such as communication and independence assistants, speech therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and social and educational programmes with outdoor activities such as pet and horse therapy.
The programmes for children will be completed at the end of May. The month of June will be dedicated to evaluating the project.e del progetto.
