The Delegation for Sicily of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy, led by the Delegate Gr. Uff. Avv. Francesco Maria Atanasio, has for some years now published a prestigious magazine distributed to the Dames and Knights of our Orders in Sicily, as well as to the many supporters who follow its activities.
The magazine of the Sicily Delegation for 2019-2020 is a publication that should be a source of inspiration for every local chapter of the Savoy Knightly Forces.
It includes articles dedicated to the history of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy and the Dynasty, the precise chronicle of the events of the Delegation and its Vicariates, information on Knights and Dames who have distinguished themselves during the year and many other interesting topics and anecdotes. The latest issue features in-depth articles dedicated to St. Lazarus and his cult, the tricentenary of the Kingdom of Sardinia and the extraordinary figure of H.M. King Vittorio Amedeo II known as Renard, Catania in the Manueline age, the Orders of H.M. Vittorio Emanuele III and the reconstruction of Messina after the earthquake of 1908, when H.M. Queen Elena was on the front line, so much so that she is still remembered there as “the angel of the earthquake“.
