Rome, April 26th 2023, On the occasion of the first official visit to Italy of Reza Ciro Pahlavi, Crown Prince of Iran and son of the last Shah of Persia, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, after holding an important press conference at the Chamber of Deputies on the current situation of his country due to the crisis in which it finds itself and where he stated that ‘the Ayatollahs’ regime will fall, it is no longer a question of if, but when’, last night, in the splendid setting of the Circolo della Caccia in Rome, a dinner meeting was held with Prince Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia, whose two families have always been linked by a deep and sincere friendship.
The evening was also the occasion for the presentation to H.I.I. Reza Pahlavi of the Supreme Order of the Holy Annunciation by Prince Emanuele Filiberto, on behalf of his father Vittorio Emanuele of Savoy, as yet another confirmation of the great bond between the Savoy and the Pahlavi.
In 1976 it was King Umberto II who donated the Collar to the last Shah of Persia, whose name Prince Emanuele Filiberto also bears, Reza.
