On 12 November 2022, a convivial lunch was held in the halls of Palazzo Cusani in Milan to award a scholarship in memory of Cav. Gr. Cr. Dr. Saverio Grancagnolo at the fashion school of the Istituto Europeo di Design.
The scholarship marks the beginning of a three-year collaboration project between the Management of IED-Milan and the Lombardy Delegation aimed at supporting a deserving student through the first three years of university up to a Bachelor’s degree and into the labour market.
The scholarship was presented by the Delegate and by Dame Lucia Vescovi Grancagnolo who, in a brief and moving speech, recalled the figure of her husband Saverio, who served as Delegation Councillor for over a decade.
At the end of the ceremony, Delegation Councillor Guerzoni, Head of IED Milan, spoke, emphasising the importance of the university in the world of design and fashion and recalling the uniqueness of the Milanese university in the field of higher education.
