THE DELEGATION FOR SICILY OF THE DYNASTIC ORDERS OF THE ROYAL HOUSE OF SAVOY TOOK PART IN THE LITHURGICAL CELEBRATION IN HONOUR OF THE BLESSED MARIA CRISTINA OF SAVOY AND CONTRIBUTED TO THE SUCCESS OF « BEATA MARIA DI SAVOIA » SCHOOL COMPETITION LINKED TO THE EVENT.

Catenanuova (Enna) – The Delegation for Sicily of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy took part in the Mass in honour of the Blessed Maria Cristina of Savoy on 28 April in Catenanuova.

The following parties took part in the rite officiated by the parish priest of San Giuseppe don Nicola Ilardo, the Deputy Delegate and Vicar OO.DD.SS. of Palermo, the Vicars OO.DD of Ag., Cl. and En., Catania and Ragusa and the provincial Delegates  INGORTP of Agrigento, Caltanissetta, Catania, Enna, Messina, Palermo, Siracusa/Ragusa and Trapani, the National Deputy Chairman of the Conventions of Culture Maria Cristina of Savoy, Eleonora Chiavetta Di Giovanni with the Mayor Mr Aldo Biondi, and almost one hundred amongst those awarded and members of INGORTP.

The ceremony followed the prize-giving of the competition “Blessed Maria Cristina of Savoy, shining example of virtue”, launched in school year 2017/2018 in synergy with the National Institute of the Guards of Honour of the Royal Tombs of the Pantheon – Inspectorate of Sicily and the Istituto Comprensivo “E. Fermi” by initiative of the Regional Inspector Giuseppe Restifo and the Guard of Honour (G.d.O.) Angelo Calì.

60 students took part in the competition: the first three classified received purchase vouchers for 100, 70 and 50 Euro from the Inspector for Sicily, Giuseppe Restifo and the GdO Angelo Calì to be spent in the stationery/bookshops of Catenanuova whereas all participants received a certificate of participation.
