On July 18, 2022, the American Foundation of Savoy Orders presented a record grant of $150,000 to The New York Foundling’s Summer Camp Program for foster care children from funds raised from the Foundation’s 2021 Ballo di Savoia (Royal Savoy Ball) Winter Charity Gala. The benefit gala was held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, in New York City at the Metropolitan Club.
The New York Foundling, founded in 1869 by the Sisters of Charity, is one of the most important, rooted and ancient Catholic organizations in the United States for the protection and care of children, especially in the most complex and disadvantaged situations.
The initiative was also made possible thanks to the funds raised thanks to the “Ballo di Savoia” promoted by the Foundation in 2021. The charity gala was held on Saturday 11 December 2021 in New York City, at the Metropolitan Club, in the presence by S.A.R. the Prince of Piedmont and Venice Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia.
This important milestone represents once again a concrete and tangible testimony of the active and industrious presence of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy on American territory.
