The Brazil Delegation celebrates St. Lazarus

São Paulo (Brazil) – On 6 September 2020, at the Parish of Santo Antonio da Barra Funda, the Delegation for Brazil of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy met to celebrate the liturgical memory of St. Maurice Lazarus.

The Holy Service was solemnized with the enthronement of an icon of St. Lazarus, which was created for the occasion by Italian artist Guido Totoli, author of the statue of St. Mauritius that the church has hosted in the last three years.

The Parish also expressed feelings of gratitude to the Delegation for the donation of about 200 food parcels during the previous week, which were destined for needy families. The Holy Mass, which was attended by many Knights, was an opportunity to experience a moment of thanksgiving and prayer in a spirit of fraternity, in the hope that Brazil may soon emerge from the pandemic that has severely hit its population.
