GENOA – On 19 December the Christmas Mass of Obligation for the Ligurian Delegation of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy was celebrated in the Church of Santa Maria del Prato in Genoa. The Sacred Rite was presided over by H.E. the Most Reverend Mgr. Alberto Maria Careggio, Prior of the Delegation of Liguria, together with several priests from the Delegation and other nearby ones.
Among those present were Gr. Uff. OMS Dr. Valerio Ruggiero, Delegate for Liguria, the new Council of the Delega-tion for Liguria, the Proselytism Inspector of the Institute for the Guard of Honour to the Royal Tombs of the Panthe-on, Marco Ghisolfo, Avv. Massimo Mallucci de’ Mulucci, President of Italia Reale – Stella e Corona, the Ambassador of Genoa worldwide, Enrico Ottonello Lomellini of Tabarca, as well as the other members of the Delegation and nu-merous Dames, Knights and supporters.
At the end of the service, the Delegate for Liguria welcomed the resumption of activities after the pandemic and thanked all those present for the renewed spirit of collaboration in local projects. A greeting message from H.R.H. the Prince Grand Master Vittorio Emanuele was then read.
After the Holy Mass, the diplomas that had been awarded in Geneva during the year 2020 and had not been handed out yet due to the pandemic were handed out. The ceremony was followed by a luncheon, the proceeds of which were des-tined for the charitable works of the delegation.
In the previous week, the Delegation, led by the new Vice-Delegate, Cav. Dr. OSSML Matteo Giachino, was received by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Genoa, H.E. the Most Reverend Mgr. Marco Tasca for the traditional exchange of Christmas greetings.
