On 15 May, at Bisceglie Cathedral, the award ceremony of the student competition on the theme “Young dream-makers and relationship builders in the big human family” was held.

Eleven schools competed and forty-seven entries were submitted and examined.

Once again this year, in keeping with a long and established tradition, the Apulia and Basilicata Delegation of the Dynastic Orders of the House of Savoy offered the scholarship to the winning high school.

There was great participation by school managers, teachers, parents and pupils, who were visibly excited and aware of the great value of the competition.

At the end of the religious ceremony officiated by the Rev. Don Sergio Pellegrini, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Trani, Barletta and Bisceglie, the Delegate Avv. Angelo Gadaleta and Sen. Francesco Amoruso, representing the entire Delegation, presented the scholarship to the students of the “Dell’Aquila Staffa” Institute of San Ferdinando di Puglia, congratulating them on their achievement and recalling the strong ties between John Paul II and the House of Savoy.

The initiative is part of a broad project of charitable initiatives planned across the region, in accordance with the Orders’ philanthropic spirit, with the aim of playing a leading role in carrying out positive actions for the younger generations.
