The first educational project involving the Piedmont, Lombardy, Lazio and Campania Delegations alongside A.I.C.O.D.S. has started.
Geneva, 03 February 2020. Thanks to the contribution and support of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy, a significant initiative has started in the context of the MUS.E project, with the promotion of qualified art workshops involving various schools in the suburbs of Italian towns and cities to combat marginalisation and social unease in primary state schools through a high-level art programme.
For the year 2020 the Grand Chancellery, following the desire of H.R.H. Prince Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy, has decided to finance this project involving the Delegations of some important Italian regions, as we believe young people are the future of our society and want to provide all children with the same opportunities for personal growth.
Under the guidance of artists from various fields (music, dance, theatre, visual arts etc.) children in the schools of MUS.E. Turin, Milan, Rome and Naples will thus be able to discover their hidden expressive potential and in this collective journey they will learn the importance of respecting differences and of working together.
For this reason, MUS-E is aimed above all at schools in towns and cities and neighbourhoods where socio-economic and cultural disadvantage is highest, with the desire to combat educational poverty and provide all children with the same opportunities for personal growth and learning.
For schools and families, the activity of the MUS-E laboratories is completely free of charge, with weekly meetings during the curricular hours throughout the year and a party at the end together with the children’s parents.
