Thanks to the help and support of all the Dames and Knights who participated in the General Chapter in Geneva on 30 October, the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy are contributing to a new child surgery project on Mercy Ships, which operate in the most inaccessible areas of the African continent.
The project will begin in early 2022 and will involve 264 surgeries for 197 patients to improve maxillofacial problems caused by lip and palate cancer, which plagues many parts of Africa. This project mainly concerns children under the age of 17. A detailed report will be delivered to our Grand Chancellery by the international organisation at the end of the 120 days planned for the mission, and we will share the results with our members, our supporters and all the readers of this official website of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy.
