THE DYNASTIC ORDERS OF THE ROYAL HOUSE OF SAVOY SUPPORT TWO NEW PROJECTS FOR CBM ONLUS ITALY AND SOUTH AMERICA TO FIGHT AGAINST CHILDHOOD BLINDNESS

The Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy, through A.I.C.O.D.S., are once again supporting the most vulnerable with two new projects in Italy and Guatemala promoted by the non-profit organisation CBM with a contribution of over 14,000 euro, thanks to the support and generosity of an anonymous donor.

CBM is a humanitarian organisation for the prevention and treatment of avoidable blindness and disability and the inclusion of people with disabilities in the South of the world and in Italy.

The collaboration with CBM was initiated in recent months by the Delegation for Sicily, which was the first to support a project for the treatment of childhood blindness.

The two projects that the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy have chosen to support today in favour of CBM are like water, which provides individual educational and rehabilitation therapies for children suffering from Charge Syndrome, and “Prevention and treatment of Premature Infant Retinopathy (ROP) in Guatemala”.

Charge syndrome is a genetic, autosomal dominant disease, considered to be one of the major causes of associated blindness and deafness and requires long and complex support.

We would like to share with you (at this link) the story of Carlo, a child diagnosed with this disease, to learn how CBM is helping other people with the same syndrome.

You too can help us support this organisation by visiting the “Donate Now” page on our website www.ordinidinasticicasasavoia.it.

Every small gesture is important to help those who need us most.
