THE “PASSI REALI” CHARITY PROJECT IS PRESENTED IN VARESE

THE “PASSI REALI” CHARITY PROJECT IS PRESENTED

On 8 November, during a visit to the Varese area, H.R.H. Prince Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy was introduced to the “Passi Reali” project.

The programme, which was launched at the initiative of the Deputy for Treviso of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy, Dama Gr. Cr. Elvira Durante and a fellow member of the Veneto Delegation, Dama Patrizia Nappa, involves the sale of eco-sustainable shoes made by the Treviso-based company Pierfecht in a special limited edition, the proceeds from which will serve to fund the charitable projects sponsored by H.R.H.

The prototype, which reproduces the Royal coat of arms, was designed by Rossella, wife of Simone Fecchio, owner of Pierfecht, resulting in shoes of great quality and craftsmanship, completely sustainable and chemical-free. The uppers are assembled from leather without tanning, i.e. natural leather, and embroidery is carried out before the shoe is assembled.

H.R.H. expressed his appreciation for this spontaneous and friendly initiative, through which the Pierfecht company intended to pay homage to the Dynasty, reviving an ancient custom of suppliers to the Royal House, which lives on through the many examples of craftsmanship scattered from one end of the Italian peninsula to the other.

The project for charity. For information, please contact the Deputy for Treviso, Dama Gr. Cr. Elvira Durante at the following e-mail address: eduranteviviani@gmail.com.
