VALLE D’AOSTA DELEGATION, SAINT VINCENT. 20 MAY 2023
On 20 May, in the presence of HRH Prince Emanuele Filiberto, the Valle d’Aosta Delegation’s traditional « Spring Ball », now in its third edition, was held at the Parc Hotel Billia in Saint Vincent.
The event was attended by around 120 people, including many fellow members from the delegations of Tuscany, Lombardy, Piedmont and Monaco.
Worthy of note is the presence of at least 30 people under the age of 30 among the diners, a sign that our Orders still arouse interest among the younger generation.
The proceeds of the Ball, which is organised every year to support a local charity project, as indicated by HRH Prince Emanuele Filiberto, were entirely donated to a project called « Le famiglie del quartiere » in the city of Aosta through the San Vincenzo association of the Saint Martin de Corleans parish.
Also attending the event was parish priest Don Nicola Corigliano, who uplifted those present with a short but forceful speech.
A charity auction was held during the dinner, with works by local artists donated by collectors or the artists themselves: Lucia Vallesi, Salvatore Cosentino, Salvatore Cazzato, Luciano Regazzoni, Franco Grobberio and François Cerise. In addition to the auction, a raffle was also held during the dinner, with the only prize being a work by Valdostano artist and fellow member Andrea Leonardi.
On Sunday 21, the Prince expressed his wish to discreetly attend the Mass in French in the parish of Saint Martin de Corléans together with the Dames and Knights of the Valdostana Delegation and not only.
The event made it possible for our Orders to donate the sum of 20,000 euros to the local San Vincenzo association.
