The Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy, through the Italian Red Cross in Viareggio and the “Misericordia” in Lido di Camaiore, contributed to the donation of a large quantity of medical supplies to various facilities in Tuscany.
The donation consists of 660,000 surgical masks, 8,736 500 ml gel bottles, 2,800 5 litre gel canisters: the material was purchased by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers through the Government Commissioner Structure for the Covid-19 emergency. It was still in stock and can now finally be put to use.
The Genoa Deputy of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy, Cav. Flavio Lucentini, who as a volunteer is carrying out various activities in several Italian regions in the non-profit sector, has been given the opportunity to distribute some of the medical equipment from the Government Commissioner Structure.
After his appointment, he contacted the Deputy for Viareggio, Comm. Alessandro Santini, to see if it was possible to distribute the material in Tuscany.
The two Deputies immediately organised the entire operation, which is still being carried out, thanks to the prompt response and support of the Italian Red Cross, the Municipal Police, the Viareggio Carnival Foundation and the Misericordia in Lido di Camaiore.
More lorries are expected to arrive in Viareggio with medical supplies to be donated to various Voluntary Associations across Tuscany.
