THE VISIT OF PRINCE EMANUELE FILIBERTO TO THE GRAND MAGISTERIUM DELEGATION OF LOMBARDY ENDED, WITH THE GREAT SUCCESS OF THE SPRING CHARITY GALA. THE EVENT WAS CROWNED BY A DONATION OF OVER €20,000 TO THE SOCIAL CO-OPERATIVE OFTAL

Meda – For the third year running, a custom that has become tradition was renewed: the Spring Gala of the Grand Magisterium Delegation of Lombardy of the Dynastic Orders.

The gala organised in the magnificent location offered by the villa of the Nobles Antona Traversi Grismondi in Meda enjoyed the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Emanuele Filiberto, in Lombardy for an intense two days of appointments and meetings. HRH was welcomed enthusiastically by Lombard Vicars, Delegates, Dames and Knights, all together for the occasion.

When the Prince arrived, accompanied by his host ND Federica Priuli Antona Traversi Grismondi, the notes of the Royal March could be heard in the halls and spaces of the villa accompanied by long applause.

After an aperitif in the cloister, where an exhibition of uniforms and artefacts of the Dynastic Orders and World War I was on display to be admired, guests went into the “Choir hall” where the meal was served. A uniquely fascinating hall, the Choir one: it occupies the former internal church of the Monastery that now holds the villa, decorated with a magnificent cycle of Luino school frescos.

The evening was an important sharing, participation moment, consolidating that spirit characterising the work of the Order of the Saints Maurice and Lazarus for centuries in its continued commitment to charity works. This spirit has enabled the Delegation to donate 21,000 euro to support the Social Co-operative Oftal with its project to expand the structure for the disabled in Montebello della Battaglia.

This important donation is the result of that strong synergy found in the Delegation. Besides the Meda event, it has involved the Vicarages in several initiatives that received the generous support of many brothers and sisters.
