TWO SCHOLARSHIPS ESTABLISHED BY THE DELEGATION OF VALLE D’AOSTA IN FAVOUR OF THE MOST DESERVING STUDENTS OF THE MUNICIPAL BAND

On Thursday, 6 October, a meeting was held in the Ducal Hall of the Municipality of Aosta to hand over two scholarships established by the Delegation of the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy of the Valle d’Aosta in favour of the most deserving students of the city’s Municipal Band who wished to enrol in the Conservatory.

The ceremony was attended by the city’s mayor Gianni Nuti in his capacity as president of the Municipal Band, its conductor Maestro Rocco Papalia, the director of the conservatory, the delegate of the Orders together with many Dames and Knights of the Delegation as well as many boys and girls of the municipal band and their families.

The Delegation’s gesture, however small, was much appreciated and two members of the band, Maestro Davide Papalia and Maestro Enrico Gianino, performed a concert for clarinet and orchestra by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to pay homage to the Delegation. This was followed by speeches by the mayor, the band director, the director of the Conservatory and the delegate of the Dynastic Orders.
